A regulator is designed to take high pressure air (from the tank) and deliver it to the diver at a pressure equal to the surrounding depth. To achieve this, the air must go through two pressure changes. Learn more about this process and your regulator in the paragraphs below.
The 2nd stage reduces intermediate pressure from the 1st stage to an ambient pressure (surrounding pressure) so that you can breathe safely. This is your primary air supply source.
High pressure air is fed to the SPG giving you an accurate reading of the amount of air (in bar) available in your tank. This device can also serve as a console for other life support devices such as depth gauges and dive computers.
The 2nd stage reduces intermediate pressure from the 1st stage to an ambient pressure (surrounding pressure) so that you can breathe safely. The Octopus is an alternate air supply should your 2nd stage primary malfunction or should your buddy run out of air.
The LPI supplies air to your BCD (Bouyancy Control Device) allowing you to stay positively bouyant at the surface and neutrally bouyant at depth.
